Alongside the news about the new Raspberry Pi 2, is the news from Microsoft that this new Raspberry Pi 2 board will be supported by Windows 10.
With the previous versions of the Raspberry Pi there was no support for Windows at all. However because the new board has made the transition from ARMv6 to ARMv7 (which chip architecture is already support by Windows) is it now possible to do this.
This release of Windows 10 will be free for the maker community through the Windows Developer Program for IoT. You can sign up for this program via this link. If you join the program you will be the first to receive product information and beta software releases.
